PETsys TOFPET2
The PETsys TOFPET2 Evaluation Kit is a complete 256-channel readout system designed to provide an easy-to-use and cost-effective solution for exploring the powerful and versatile features of the TOFPET2 ASIC.
It's also the ideal solution for applications requiring readout of several hundred SiPM channels at low to medium event rates.

The kit includes a FEB/D board with Gigabit Ethernet connection for direct computer interface, eliminating the need for additional DAQ or Clock & Trigger boards. Two FEM128 front-end modules, each reading 128 channels via two TOFPET2 ASICs, connect to the FEB/D through flexible cables that enable versatile experimental configurations. The FEM128 modules feature connectors compatible with Hamamatsu S13361-3050AE-08 and KETEK PA3325-WB-0808 8×8 SiPM arrays, with custom adapters designed upon request to accommodate different array sizes or models from manufacturers such as Broadcom.
The system comes with pre-installed firmware and intuitive Linux-based data acquisition software featuring a graphical user interface. Complete source code is provided for advanced customization. For immediate hands-on experience, the kit includes two Broadcom AFBR-S4N44P014M SiPM pixels mounted on adpater boards, LYSO crystals, a radioactive source holder, and a cooling box with Peltier elements for stable, reproducible measurements. Each purchase includes personalized training for one or two users covering system operation and software usage.

The FEM128 module has two ASICs, and has connectors accepting a Hamamatsu S13361-3050AE-08 MPPC array, or a KETEK PA3325-WB-0808 array. The Evaluation Kit is shipped with two FEM128.

Main Features
- Two FEM128 modules, and two cables for connecting this modules to the FEB/D board.
- One FEB/D board supplying the data and sending the data to the DAQ computer using a Gigabit Ethernet link. The FEB/D also receives configuration and clock signals from the ASICs, and bias voltages to the SiPMs.
- Two SiPM pixels mounted on plug-in boards compatible with the FEM128 modules, coupled to two LYSO scintillation crystals, and a ²²Na radioactive source holder.
- A cooling box with two Peltier elements for controlling the temperature, allowing stable and reproducible temperature conditions.
- Firmware for the FEB/D board, enabling communication with the ASICs and readout of data via Gigabit Ethernet. The FEB/D board is delivered with the firmware pre-installed.
- JTAG interface cable for programming the Xilinx FPGA on the FEB/D board, allowing users to upload firmware updates when needed.
- PC application software for receiving, monitoring, and recording data from the system.
- One-day training session on the use of the electronics system, available for one or two participants.
- Complete documentation.
